Dave Kennedy, our friend and the plumber for the Common Building, was here most of last week putting in piping on the ground floor. The above and below pictures are piping for a sink.

Matt and Ryan Stanley, a neighbor and friend who built our lean-to and well pump house, are building the farm's walk-in refrigerator, next to the barn.
These walls enclose the walk-in refrigerator as well as a utility closet where the water heater's gonna be. I painted the cedar plywood with teak oil and stained these trim pieces, and Silas installed them. 
Pacific Power, the local electric company, came to install power to the common building; after all these months of construction, it's great to have that happen....

L-R: Aaron and Luke, friends who run "Black Oak Forestry", a local outfit that does restoration work. They've been burning brush and thinning trees in our woodland, in an effort to minimize fire damage and allow native trees to flourish.
Above and below -- Matt tilled up a portion of our kitchen garden so that we can put veggie transplants in there, as well as tilling up some ground above Ryan & Eden's cottage, which Ryan promptly planted trees/shrubs into. 
...After the concrete was poured to make the base, Autumn came in and made a wood frame onto which he put plywood, over which he'll put tile, over which will go the wood stove!

The soffit is the decking underneath a roof. These planks are tongue-and-groove, and have been painted with Timberpro, a wood finish. The outside plank is drilled with holes (below, John Mehta working on it) and then a screen is put over the holes; the holes allow air to circulate thru the insulation, the screen keeps critters from getting in.
First the tarpaper over the plywood sheeting....
Then Autumn put in the boxes for the skylights...
Finally the roofers came in with the metal roofing, and installed the skylights.....
Above and below: you'd have to click on these pix to blow them up and see properly, but this is the area below our barn, with a small pond and lots of blackberry growth. Blackberries are an invasive exotic that we are attempting to remove by cutting back repeatedly and burning the canes; with repeated cutting, the roots eventually wither and can be pulled up easily. This area has been cut back/burned, and replanted with native trees and shrubs, each plant being mulched heavily with a circle of straw.
Last three pix: the "landfill" area below our barn, an area prone to landslides that we filled in with junk (wood, metal, etc.), covered with soil, mulched with straw and then planted with native pines, cedars, and shrubs. Below, a young cedar I planted; below that, a young ponderosa pine tree.
The deck's just about done at this point. It needs to be stained (probably by me), and there's a little more carpentry, as well as some stone steps leading from the deck up the slope, and then it's done!
