L-R: Aaron and Luke, friends who run "Black Oak Forestry", a local outfit that does restoration work. They've been burning brush and thinning trees in our woodland, in an effort to minimize fire damage and allow native trees to flourish.

Above and below -- Matt tilled up a portion of our kitchen garden so that we can put veggie transplants in there, as well as tilling up some ground above Ryan & Eden's cottage, which Ryan promptly planted trees/shrubs into.
